Another project that I have been working on recently came about when my cousin asked me to create a logo for his Wood Working Company that he was getting started to launch. He wanted the logo to appear "Rugged" and "Outdoorsy". He gave free-range on the style and design, though mentioned that he wanted to have the logo transferred onto a branding iron so that he would be able to stamp his finished masterpieces.

The name of his company goes by, EverGrain Wood Working. A play on words (or a play on "woods") of that of an "evergreen" tree. Through a series of various logo designs, the favorite was a transparent piece featuring the darker portions of the image as 'burnt wood'. The backdrop of the image displays the appearance of evergreen trees that would appear burned into the wooden pieces, showcasing the Company Name "EverGrain" as a transparent statement, which would appear the same texture and color as the original wood piece that would be branded. To complete the logo, the image is accompanied by the below words "Wood Working" which would also be burnt into the final piece.

The image to the left depicts the logo on six different types of wood surfaces, replicating how the logo would appear on various wooden pieces. This logo as mentioned before, encompass a rugged look with a touch a nature, it is simple yet bold in appearance.
